Alec Bierbauer
Mr. Bierbauer has over 30 years of government and government support experience addressing “hard problems” with solutions ranging from clandestine intelligence activities to the unique application of emerging technology.
Alec’s early career included serving in the US Army, Defense Intelligence Agency. His government service culminated with his work in the Central Intelligence Agency’s Clandestine Service as a Case Officer. Alec was assigned to the CIA’s Counter Terrorism Center, where he was the founder, Program Manager, and Director for a National Security Council requirement that has grown to be one of CIA’s most successful collection and operational engagement programs. His duties included regular interaction with both his managed clandestine assets in the field as well as presentations to congressional committees, the Director of the CIA, the Secretary of Defense, and the US President’s Daily Brief.
Alec also served as a Chief of Base and an Operations Officer in multiple war and conflict zones.
Alec’s post government service has been supporting the Intelligence Community and Department of War. Alec works with industry partners, venture capital investors, and military service RDT&E entities and national labs to advance the development and field experimentation of emerging technologies. These included a wide array of autonomous systems as well as the tactics, techniques, and procedures for their implementation.
In 2021, he co-authored “Never Mind, We’ll Do lt Ourselves. The inside Story of How a Team of Renegades Broke Rules, Shattered Barriers, and Launched a Drone Warfare Revolution.”
