Shaun Maguire
Dr. Shaun Maguire is a Partner at Sequoia Capital, where he led investments into SpaceX, The Boring Company, X, xAI, AMP Robotics, Bridge, Decart, Eon, Factory, Vise, Lightmatter and others.
Prior to Sequoia, Shaun co-founded Expanse, a cybersecurity company that was acquired by Palo Alto Networks for $1.25B. Expanse had many customers in the DoW and intelligence community.
Shaun was also previosuly a Partner at GV where he co-led their investments into IonQ, Stripe and Lightmatter. Shaun spent a couple of years as a contractor at DARPA which included a three month deployment to Afghanistan in 2012.
Dr. Maguire earned a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Southern California, an M.S. in Statistics from Stanford University, an M.S. in Control and Dynamical Systems from Caltech and a Ph.D. in Physics from Caltech.
